After the competition initiated by the Raiffeisen Bank, EMMA Organization won a grant for 13,045 lei.

Dear friends,

Raiffeisen Bank is offering a Grant to a winning Nonprofit Organization; so we didn’t wait too long and we registered E.M.M.A. for this grant money that will definitely help.

Good news is that we past the first step and we are in finals. However, we can only win by making people aware and asking them to vote for our Organization!

Here is the necessary information (the information on the website is in Romanian) to help us obtain the Grant. The process is very easy and takes no more than 2 minutes…

1. Go to  https://raiffeisencomunitati.ro/program-de-granturi/

2. Create an account (don’t worry, no spam emails after that) and wait for the confirmation email. If it will not come into your inbox, check the Spam.

3. After you receive the confirmation email click on Proiecte depuse de ONG-uri (these are the exact words, in case you don’t know Romanian)

4. Click on Bucuresti  on the yellow map,

5. Scroll down to  Servicii sociale and check ,,Alaturi de Parintii de Ingeri",

6. At the bottom of the page click on "Votat".

That’s it!

Due date: September 30th.

With the money raised from this Grant, we would like to make more than 20,000 new flyers that will advertise:

• Information for the parents that have lost a child

• Information for doctors, nurses and nurse practitioners

• Description of Psychometric Depression Syndrome, the most common depression after such tragic events

• Ways to support the parents – from doctors, family, and friends.

We would also like to print over 1,000 new magazines for medical personnel (gynecologists, nurses, and nurse practitioners).

All of these flyers and magazines are going to be distributed in hospitals, clinics, and private practices.

Right now in Romania, all of the babies that are born dead or die shortly after birth are cremated, disposed of in the garbage, or are used in labs. By distributing over 20,000 flyers with valuable information to doctors, nurses, and parents, we would like to change the way this process is seen and more than that, we would like to have a law that protects the parents and the rights of these babies. We would like to show that losing a child is an emotional trauma and that we will do everything that is possible to help those that are affected.
